INDIAN FOOD RECIPES - Ghar Ka Khaana

Ingredients used for cooking delicious Aloo Gobi (Potatoes Cauliflower):
  • 3 potatoes (cut into cubes)
  • 200 grams cauliflower or gobi (cut florets into 1 1/2 inch of size)
  • 2 medium onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup tomatoes puree
  • 1 tablespoon cumin (jeera)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoon coriander leaves (finely chopped)

Method to cook:
  1. Take a deep cooking pot, heat oil, and fry cauliflower and potatoes too for 3 minutes.
  2. Put them all out in a plate and heat oil in the same deep cooking pot and add cumin (jeera), minced garlic, minced ginger, finely chopped green chilies, and onions.
  3. Saute in low flame till the onions turn light brown in color, then add turmeric powder and tomatoes puree, salt, red chili powder, and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Then add fried cauliflower (gobi) and potatoes & add garam masala and stir them all.
  5. Cover the cooking pot and cook on a low flame until potatoes are soft & fully cooked. The veggies will release moisture and cook quickly.
  6. Finally, garnish the Aloo Gobi with coriander leaves. 
Serve yummy Aloo Gobi with chapatis.
